With "Snailking",
their second full length release, Ufomammut was worldwide
recognized as the creator of a unique brand of psychedelic
sludge. With long songs, droning vocals and massive
effects Ufomammut is right there along side of Neurosis,
combining their monumental riffing attitude with the
psychedelia of the more visionary Pink Floyd.
" Lucifer Songs", the last album, opens
new and unexpected doors: it's the result of a mature
and tight-knit band willing to experiment whilst maintaining
its DNA.
The flaming spatial voyage which made "Snailking"
one of the records of the year in 2004 in many specialist
magazines and webzines, remains as their core sound,
evolving alongside new soundscapes made up of sinister
atmospheres and gloomy sounds of vintage electronics.
Ufomammut is today a powerful wall of sound weaving
their intrinsic dream state whilst able to hypnotize
and spellbind the listener with obsessive dilatations
approaching drone music.
The peculiar charm of the sound of Ufomammut continues
to defy pigeon -holing.
As "Lucifer Songs" has been released, many
musical critics defined the band’s sound as
the beginning of a whole new kind of music, which
mixes doom with psychedelic, trance with extreme,
industrial with post-rock.
Ufomammut's live show is supported by the internationally
acclaimed video and graphic art of Malleus, a rock
artists’ collective who conjure the entirety
of Ufommamut’s visual impact.

MORKOBOT
Since the dawn
of the First galaxies the voice of Morkobot resounded
solemn over the saturated atmospheres of the planets
in evolution.
Dominator of the magnetic strengths and ancestral
regulator of the conscience flows, Morkobot has returned
to the Earth through his three messengers Lin, Lan,
Len brutally subdued to his will.
Morkobot is a totally suggestive instrumental space-psych-postrock
sonic monster.
A magmatic and liquid atmosphere lead the listener
to a psychedelic and caotic world in which vibrations
become dense like glue, light and darkness are continuosly
turning in a nonstop changing lysergic noise: moments
of raw power suddenly replace those with softer, deliberate
arrangements, and viceversa.
Mostro, the second work of Morkobot, is a sensorial
experience in which different musical genres become
so extreme you cannot find a definition able to describe
the music.
From John Zorn to Black Sabbath, from Pink Floyd to
Primus, from Godflesh to Hawkwind... past and present
seem to messed up in the magic pot of sound called
Morkobot.

LENTO
Lento is an
instrumental collective based in Rome.
The former members joined in 2004 as a quartet and
started working out a sort of introspective and implosive
approach, taking their cue from a wide range of influences
including seminal bands such as Neurosis, Earth, Mogwai
and Godspeed You Black Emperor.
After a short time break, in late 2005, Lento expanded
into a five piece act, and began structuring the basement
of a more elaborate mood. incorporating elements of
ambient, doom and hardcore, Lento has created a perfect
opposition between sludge heavy riffs and ambient
psychedelic suites.
Lento's tone is a blend of heavily down tuned guitars,
apocalyptic slow tempos, systematic drones and resonant
feedbacks, their live sets alternate from hardcore
assaults to intimate collapses of the signals.
Farwest Zombee is a side project
of Urlo, bass player and vocals in Ufomammut in which
distorted soundscapes, slow and subtle drones, repetitive
circles, eerie and fearful lines make the listener
totally involved in a evil and loud atmosphere. The
project is developing in a audio-video shape, the
music is generator of slow images absorbing the music
itself to reflect it in suggestions making the listener
sink in a sort of hypnosis. An abstract project starting
from the deep sonorities to cover a complete range
of dreaming nightmares.
